There can be little doubt that these are tough economic times. Even in the golf world, which is usually thought of as "recession proof". In fact, golfers may for the first time in my memory not have 6 putters, 3 drivers and goodness knows how many wedges tucked away in the far reaches of their individual garages. And what's more interesting is how many more clubs they would purchase at this time of the year.

This year they seem to be holding back, waiting for some new proof of quality. More and more golfers are checking Rankmark's numbers prior to making a purchase. Perhaps everyone should... retailers, manufacturers, and golfers. After all it has always been my position that even in the toughest of times "quality will prevail".
